AfriBusiness submits commentary to Valuer-Genaral on new regulations

In essence, the regulations set out criteria for property valuation goes beyond the criteria set out in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996.  It will have the inevitable effect that property owners affected will not receive market related compensation for their property due to calculations which effectively take into account unutilised property which will decrease the valuation by the State.

The organisation urges the public to sign the petition against the implementation of this draconic Regulation. The closing date for commentary on the regulations is 21 June 2017
